GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION
As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation – Regulation number 2016/679 from Portuguese Parliament and Counsil, from April 6th 2016, will be applicable, which establishes rules regarding protection, treatment and free circulation of each person’s data and it applies directly to all entities that process such data in any Member State of the European Union, in particular Portugal.
We intend, using this policy, to make known the new rules appliable to the treatment of your personal data, the rights that you have, as well as to inform the way in which you can manage, directly and in a simple way, the respective consents.

PERSONAL DATA
"Personal Data" means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("Data Owner"). We consider identifiable natural person, someone who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, identifiers by electronic means or one or more physical, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION, SECURTIY POLICIES, AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Our records include data that were obtained during the contractual relationship established between us and following the various interactions with Pedemeia.
Pedemeia, as responsible data controller, uses the information gathered for legal and contractual purposes, billing, customer management, historical and statistical purposes, legal obligations, quality control of service and customer service, business contacts and Marketing. The information collected is also used to tailor our products to our customers and to improve our services.
Pedemeia has concluded the necessary protocols with its subcontractors in order to obtain sufficient guarantees for the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures and to ensure maximum confidentiality, to not share its data with third parties for commercial purposes, and to promptly and effectively defend the rights of the data subject.
Your personal data will be kept for any necessary period for the provision of services, respective billing and compliance with legal obligations.

RIGHTS OF THE HOLDERS AND WAY OF PROSECUTION
At any time, you have the right to access your personal data, as well as to know what treatment it’s submitted and, within the limits of the contract and the law, to change them, oppose to the respective treatment, decide on their automated treatment, to withdraw their consent, request their portability or erasure (except as regards the data that are indispensable for the rendering of the services by the Pedemeia, therefore of obligatory supply, or the fulfillment of legal obligations).
If you withdraw your consent, this does not compromise the lawfulness of the treatment made up to that date.
If you wish to prosecute any of your rights listed, or clarify any doubt related to the subject, you must address your communication by e-mail, to dpo@pedemeia.pt or by letter, to the address of the company headquarters.
If you prosecute any of these rights, we will analyze them, and respond within 1 (one) month from the receipt of the request, extendable up to 2 months, taking into account their complexity and / or the number of requests.
Your request should clearly state which personal data you are referring to. For your protection, we will only handle requests related to your personal data associated with the specific email account you used to send us your request, and we can ask you to prove your identity before placing your request.
We are committed to the protection and confidentiality of your personal data. We have taken the technical and organizational measures necessary to comply with the Regulation, ensuring that the processing of your personal data is lawful, fair, transparent and limited to the authorized purposes. We have adopted the measures we deem to be appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data, as well as all other rights that assist you.
