GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

After May 25, 2018 the General Regulation on Personal Data Protection - Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, which lays down the rules on the protection, processing and free movement of personal data of natural persons and which applies directly to all entities that process such data, in any member state of the European Union, namely Portugal, will become applicable.

Through this policy, we intend to make you aware of the new rules applicable to the processing of your personal data, the rights you are entitled to, as well as inform you of how you can manage, directly and simply, the respective consents.

PERSONAL DATA

"Personal Data" refers to information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("Data Subject"). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, electronic identifiers, or to one or more factors specific to that natural person's physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY POLICIES

Our records include data that has been obtained throughout the contractual relationship that you have established with us and following the various interactions carried out with Pedemeia.

Pedemeia, as data controller, uses the information collected for legal and contractual purposes, invoicing, customer management, for historical and statistical purposes, legal obligations, control of service quality and customer service, commercial contacts and Marketing. The information collected is also used to tailor our products to our customers and improve our services.

Pedemeia, has concluded the necessary protocols with its subcontractors in order to obtain sufficient guarantees for the execution of adequate technical and organizational measures and to ensure maximum confidentiality, the non-sharing of your data with third parties for commercial purposes and a rapid and effective defense of the rights of the data subject.

Your personal data will be kept for the period necessary for the provision of services, respective billing and compliance with legal obligations.

RIGHTS OF THE HOLDERS AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM

At any time, you have the right to access your personal data and to know what processing they are undergoing and, within the limits of the contract and the law, to change them, oppose their processing, decide on their automated processing, withdraw consent, request their portability or deletion (except for data that are indispensable to the provision of services by Pedemeia, therefore mandatory provision, or compliance with legal obligations).

If you withdraw your consent, this does not compromise the lawfulness of the processing carried out until that date.

If you wish to exercise any of your rights listed or clarify any doubt related to the subject you should address your communication to [email protected] or by letter to the address of the company's headquarters.

If you exercise any of these rights, we will analyze it and respond within 1 month of receipt of the request, extendable up to 2 months, depending on its complexity and/or the number of requests.

Your request must clearly define the personal data to which it relates. For your protection, we will only process requests relating to your personal data associated with the specific email address you used to send us your request and we may ask you to provide proof of your identity before placing your request.

We are committed to the protection and confidentiality of your personal data. We have taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to comply with the Regulation, ensuring that the processing of your personal data is lawful, fair, transparent and limited to the authorised purposes. We have taken the measures we consider appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data and all other rights to which you are entitled.
